Alok Mohan is an great Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Karnataka cadre of 1987 batch. Present he is serving as the ADGP - Additional Director General of Police and he is governing law and order for the state of Karnataka. He has more than 3 decades of Senior Management experience at the Karnataka state, National and International Levels.
He is a recipient of very prestigious awards and medals such as "President Police Medal for Distinguished Service" on the eve of Republic Day 2012, "President Police Medal for Distinguished Service" on the eve of Republic Day 2012, "Presidents Police Medal for Meritorious Service" on the eve of Independence Day 2003, and achieved "United Nations Medal" in 1997, and "Director General's Commendation Disc" in 1995 & 1998.

International Professional Training Experience

  1. Mr. Alok Mohan has attended the Civilian Police Training at the United Nations Field Training Institute at Zagreb, Croatia.
  2. He was one of the IPS officer who are all selected to be part of the prestigious ‘Command Course for the Senior Police Officers’ with the British Police wherein he had close interaction with the Senior Officers from the London Metropolitan Police, Scotland Yard Police, West Yorkshire Police, Birmingham Police etc.
  3. He take a part in the Advanced Management Programme of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Hyderabad in 2009 wherein he got management inputs at the Management Institute at Maastricht, Netherlands and had close interaction with the top management of the Multinationals at the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France and Switzerland.

Alok Mohan IPS of Karnataka Mr. Alok Mohan is an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of 1987 Batch of the Karnataka Cadre. He is presently serving as the Additional Director General of Police in charge of Law and Order for the state of Karnataka and heads the law enforcement machinery for the Karnataka State Police. He was the winner of prestigious President of India Police Medals for Distinguished Services as well as for Meritorious Services. He was awarded with the prestigious United Nations Medal while working as a Commander for the International Police Task Force (IPTF) in the United Nations Peace Keeping Operations in the Bosnia– Herzgovina.
